NEEDS OUR HELP!

For those of you who don’t know me I am an animal lover. And as an animal lover I hate to hear of the abuse or abandonment they go through. And so here I am asking each of you to do your part.

Your part of feeding a hungry tummy for a day, a week, a month. To donate a blanket to keep a poor little animal warm this winter, to help with sterilisations and upkeep of animal health, and never mind those poor puppies and kittens who end up pulling out their own fur out of boredom.

It’s time to take a stand, to make a difference, Barking mad is an innovative and intelligent ways to receive donations for these very issues for Dogtown South Africa PTY LED. How it works is you can log onto their website and find information on What they stand for, How they help animals, How they need our help as well as help us with our own questions. You can adopt a pet if looking, make donations and see what else is available.

They have even gone as far as having an icon on their website that you click on and as the page changes you are donating a bowl of food to an animal. If you do this every day, You could feed a dog for a week, a month, a year or for as long as you decide to visit this web page and click onto the icon. What is the website?Barking Mad

Also at the moment they are running a campaign with Mtn and Vodacom where if they get a 1000 text messages with the word “DOG” to 38919 they get their revenue share and these proceeds go to feeding, neutering and caring for the animals in their care. These text messages will cost you R10 for each message.

Barking mad is a brilliant way of bringing people and animals to a better way of understanding each other. As well as informing us of just how bad some of these situations our four legged best friends have been in. Not all pet owners love their animals and care for them. Some see them as security and so treat them as nothing more than that. No one can change the world but if we change ourselves to be more willing to help or more willing to participate then how can we as a nation not change the world for ourselves and our four legged friends.
